GCSE Music Virtual Intervention Sessions - Theory

Each week a new virtual video lesson will be made available for those students for whom these sessions are compulsory

Once you have completed each session, send your completed answers to Mr Laviolette ASAP or bring them in to your next lesson.

You will have been told what the arrangement is for handing in your intervention work.


You will be having to watch LOTS of video content

If the videos don't work try these tips:

  • Make sure are using Chrome as your web browser. This might also apply to iPads and iPhones

  • When first landing on the website click the small 'pop-out' arrow button on the video thumbnail - this will open the video in another window and it should play

  • Try downloading the video once you open it in another window following point 3 above

The Quizlet tests have a pass mark of 75%.

For the basic key terms this will be 23 out of 31

For the Dr Smith Mnemonic terms this will be 50 out of 67 - N.B 'polyrhythms and cross-rhythms' are interchangeable answers on the test. The same goes for 'style' and 'genre'
