Singing Club

If you think you cannot sing then this is the ensemble for you. Of course, if you enjoy singing then it goes without saying that you NEED to join us.

Singing groups are COMPULSORY for GCSE students where voice is their first or second instrument.

We're very proud of our school choir which is inclusive while being professional and fast-paced. Singing is a real joy and a unique human skill and our choir aims to promote the notion that everyone can sing if they are taught how and if they do it regularly.

Our repertoire is contemporary and has included pieces from such artists:

Unfortunately, we do not have any recordings of actual performances, but we do have some recordings below of the previous school choir, which best demonstrates the atmosphere and culture of singing at school. Hopefully, you will enjoy listening to these unedited recordings from a few of our practice sessions in the past. New recordings will also appear in time.

Singing Club takes place for the Lower School Tuesday lunchtime. The day changes each year and this can be confirmed by contacting our music department. Typically, due to the school production music commitments up until Christmas, singing club starts from January in term three, through to the end of the academic year. The group performs in our annual summer concert every year, details of which can be found here. If students wish to join then they simply need to turn up and sign-up, or let our music department know at anytime so their name can be put down for our register. As stated, there is no audition required, all we ask is that you enjoy singing and are willing to work hard learning your part/s.
