Drum Guidance Sheet

You will need either help from your music teacher or your drum teacher if you take drum lessons. Unless you know how to read drum notation already.

Don't Own A Drum Kit?

See below the ways to still practise the drum part without owning a drum kit

Make a practice kit out of books

Make a practice kit out of boxes

Virtual Drumming

If you do not own a drum kit you can still play 'virtual drums'. This uses your computer and your typing keyboard to play. See below:

https://www.virtualdrumming.com/drums/online-virtual-games/joey-jordison-drums.html

The drum kit selected via the link above can be changed if you wish by clicking on the 'hamburger' menu on the left

Virtual Drummer allows you to play drums using your computer. We are only using the kick, snare and ride cymbal for this piece of music.

B on your keyboard is the kick drum

V on your keyboard is the snare drum

O on your keyboard is the ride cymbal

I myself do not own a drum kit so hopefully the video to the left explains clearly how to play this piece on drums.

Remember to navigate back to the main topic page for Swingin' Safari to play along with the backing track
