Summer Concert

The summer concert has taken place every year at the end of term six for the 6 years from 2014 up until COVID (cancelled 2020 & 2021). It's our end of year musical celebration where audience members get to see what many students have been working towards for months.

All GCSE students in year 10 perform as well as our school choir, drumming band, lower school band and upper school band. Just with these groups alone we usually have a packed evening with anywhere between 25 to 32 acts.

Weather permitting, the summer concert is held outside on the grassed area in front of the school so that audience members can enjoy the outside space and socialise freely while we provide the soundtrack for the evening. A BBQ and drinks were provided in previous years. We hope to get a local business providing fresh food from 2022 onwards. While seating is provided, we strongly encourage audience members to bring a picnic blanket, their own food and drink if they wish, and just sit anywhere they like in front of the stage 'festival style'. It really is a lovely evening to mark the end of the year.

Should the weather not be so kind then we simply move the concert indoors to our purpose built theatre space.

This year's concert takes place Tuesday 19 July.

Admittance at 6pm; music begins at 6.30pm.
